Spring 2016

The end of May is rapidly approaching, and I've been watching my unused photo stock build up.  There are going to be a lot of photos in this post; most from miscellaneous adventures, including but not limited to local hikes, Vancouver explorations, and a couple scenic flights.  Hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave feed back any way you can get it to me.  Cheers!

In March, I took a Westjet flight out to Vancouver for a change of scenery.
Here are some pictures of the local sites around the western coast.  I plan on going back soon!

Snowboarding in Whistler / Blackcomb.  At the hostel, a girl had won a free bus pass to the Whistler Village for the following Monday.  Unfortunately for her, she would be leaving Vancouver by Sunday! I offered to keep her drink topped up and she traded me the bus ticket. After buying the day lift-pass, I was informed that we wouldn't be in the village long enough to experience snowboarding in one of the best places to ride on the planet. Luckily, Rebecca had been planning to go to Whistler on the same day, so we were able to rent a car and pick up Rachelle on the way through Squamish.  What an amazing day!

What's an adventure without some food and coffee?

Driving through Rennie on the way back to Sioux Lookout at the end of the May Long weekend.  There have been many enormous forest fires in the area, so I wanted to see if the highway had been spared.  The fire's impact to the Whiteshell wasn't apparent from the main roads, but I've heard rumors that the Mantario trail has taken damage from the blaze due to our very dry and hot spring weather.

Kayaking / Canoeing adventures on a beautiful spring evening
Until next time...

  1. Wow , those are great photos there thanks for showing them . If one day you are flying over Clear Lake in Manitoba, would you take a couple of photos of the outlet for Clear Lake . My friend owns that section of property , and he called it Clear Lake Ranch . It would be on the north west part of the lake . Also lake Audie flows through to his land , just north of Clear Lake . Maybe a photo or two of those , and I would be happy to pay something for them . Uncle Ron
